16 May, 2008: Off to Taiwan!

I love aeroplane food!

Checked in to hotel and off to Shinlin Night Market.
Love the weather there, so cooling.

Shinlin Night Market

Nice food!

oyster egg鱿鱼羹臭豆腐 (smelly tofu)
it's really smelly and i don't think it taste nice!
haha.my fav: mango ice!炸鸡排
it's super duper BIG and yummy!another part of Shinlin Night Market, shopping area.

Next day, went to 龙山寺

there is a total of 7 spot in the temple to put the incense sticks.
walked in a circle around the temple.

next was,

中正纪念堂

孙中山纪念堂

look at Taipei101 behind!

went to SOGO and there is 电梯小姐, didn't manage to capture a shot of them.
went for lunch at this steamboat restaurant.
so yummy!
took train to our next place,
they have cute advertisement on courtesy and rules(like no eating)
this is one of them.
then is was shopping paradise!
one bad thing: cannot try =(

五分埔

the streets is just like bugis street, but it is much cooler over there! haha叭噗motorbikes in taiwan seems cheap. haha!

reached our dinner destination!

饶河夜市

a must go place in taipei: Taipei 101 我来咯!

me with damper, it protects Taipei 101 from earthquakes and strong strong winds.'I am at 90 storey high!'damper had some babies,

nice scenery from 91 storey high!and it is freaking windy and cold at tt height!

next day, headed off to a town outside taipei, 瑞芳
then to 九份 and to 金瓜石!
a place with gold, gold and more gold (i meant last time)

didn't have time to take them cause i'm busy eating! =D

the sausages have fish roe in them. yummy!

this is nice, made from popiah skin with grinded sweet peanuts and ice-cream

next day, breakfast at ding tai feng

was so lazy that we decided to take a cab.

and we headed off to 忠烈祠

a place with all the tablets of warriors of a war.

we reached the place and guess what,

taxi uncle brought us to the wrong place, instead of 忠烈祠 he brought us to 故宫博物馆
haiz. so we walked up to take a look.

it was taxi again, and this time we reached 忠烈祠.
nice place, very big and there are alot of tablets!
we saw the changing of shift to guard the place.
and of course, i took a photo with them!
one in blue and the other in white.

what's next on list - hmmmm. HOT SPRING!
and i would say it's taxi again,
up to yang ming shan, taxi uncle got the wrong way, turn wrongly.
turn here n there, up and down.
all these made me kind wanna vomit when we reach our destination.
but the view up there is amazing!

why did we went the wrong way,
the website of this hotel said yang ming shan but it is like near to another mountain call jin shan.
and it is out of taipei! >.<

天籁温泉馆

amazing viewHot springs! it is so comfortable!
there's hot and cold ones, the last one without any 'smoke' coming out i freaking cold!

there are more of them, just that there are people there,
pai seh to take. haha!

taxi again, from jin shan to dan shui,
super long journey, uncle drive along the sea/river (i dun know!)

Last day in taiwan =(
went to 西门町 for last min shopping.
and i saw this, jojo when did you have a shop there?
LOL

streets of 西门町.and a nice blow of mee sua.

taipei got alot of these machines.
kiap doll doll.

bought many 土产 and presents,
and it was time to head back to the hotel and waited for the van to drive us to the airport.
i was stupid enough to wear contacts as i am super sleepy and when i reach the airport,
my eyes were super uncomfortable. =|
checked in and waited for the time~
